WisDOT and WisDNR to hold public meeting about WIS 21 construction Feb. 17

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WisDNR) are conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss the proposed replacement of the culvert under WIS 21 at the west branch of the White River, located in the towns of Dakota and Wautoma, Waushara County.

 
Blue Ribbon Kid's Day seeks exhibitors

Planning is underway for the 22nd annual Blue Ribbon Kid’s Day, a family fun and resource fair held in Waushara County each April during National Child Abuse Prevention month. Blue Ribbon Kid’s Day will be held on Saturday, April 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Parkside School in Wautoma.

How are you sleeping?

A healthy lifestyle includes adequate sleep. Sleep is an essential part of everyone’s life. We spend about one third of our life sleeping. Sleep requirements differ for different individuals and different age groups. According to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, infants need 16 to 18 hours of sleep per day, preschool age children 11 to 12 hours, school age at least 10 hours, teens 9 to 10 hours, while adults need 7 to 9 hours.
