Redgranite board establishes fee for second thawing of pipes

At the Feb. 18 Redgranite Village Board meeting, the board approved charging a $50 fee to residents who need village assistance thawing their water pipes a second time. President Jerry Sieg told the board that village residents are not being asked to turn their water on (due to cold temperatures this winter), except on a case-by-case basis.

 
Westfield School District accepts NACC offer to purchase school

The Neshkoro Area Community Center (NACC) committee met Feb. 19 to discuss recent developments and progress. The offer to purchase the former Neshkoro School from the Westfield School District was forwarded to the Westfield School District finance committee for approval. The district finance committee met and approved the offer allowing for NACC to purchase the building.

 
No change in EMS service in county, committee continues to look at options

During the public comments at the Waushara County Board of Supervisors meeting held on Feb. 18 in the county board room at the Waushara County Courthouse, Ruth Zouski, Corporation Counsel, addressed the Emergency Medical Services.  Zouski said that no doubt the supervisors had received calls and comments on the EMS.  She said that the committee is looking at options and has made no decisions on eliminating EMS/ambulance service.  They continue to gather information.
