Wautoma educators Kim Floeter, Pat Schmidt, and Sandi Jarvis recently were awarded a $5,000 National Education Association (NEA) Foundation grant to fund a project to improve student achievement. Floeter and Schmidt are members of the Wautoma Education Association and the Wisconsin Education Association Council.

With 73 percent of public and private high school graduates taking the ACT college admission exam, the state’s 2014 average composite score increased one-tenth of a point to 22.2, making Wisconsin second in the nation on the ACT assessment.

Prior to the Wautoma Area School District’s annual meeting, Chief Financial Officer Cindy Reilly presented the 2014-15 operating budget to the Wautoma School Board as well as those in attendance during the budget hearing on Aug. 25 in the Wautoma High School Library.

 
Wild Rose School Board approves 2014-15 salaries and contracts Print E-mail

Teacher salaries and contracts were approved for the 2014-15 school year when the Wild Rose School Board met Aug. 14 at Wild Rose High School.

Other salaries and contracts were approved in July, while the teachers waited until now. There will be an increase in base pay of 1.46 percent, plus step movement. The total increase in salaries is 2.88 percent, with the total package increase being .84 percent because of health insurance savings.
