I visited the Wautoma area the weekend of Aug. 16-18. My girlfriends and I parked at the boat landing at the corner of Hwy. 21 and 73 to walk around Silver Lake. When we returned and hour later, there was a Town of Marion $50 parking ticket on my windshield. Really?

In the Aug. 6, 2013, edition of the Oshkosh Northwestern newspaper, I read that Senator Alberta Darling is upset that a motorist who struck and killed a bicyclist received only 90 days in jail. “Respect for life demands something more than 90 days,” Darling told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal. The issue was someone was killed, a very serious consequence. We have to balance the scale of justice in Wisconsin.

There are painted, designated areas where pedestrians can cross the road, which are marked with signs to let drivers know that they should stop and be cautious in those areas.

Disappointed with our elected representatives Print E-mail
Tuesday, August 06, 2013 10:24 AM

We are two of the over 80 percent of Americans who disapprove of the horrible job our elected representatives are doing on our behalf. It seems we can only watch helplessly as they grandstand in front of cameras and do nothing in the chamber!
