Community Christmas Project appreciates Waushara County Print E-mail

Dec. 19 saw the completion of the 2013 Waushara Community Christmas Project with 542 families receiving food boxes and 724 children receiving gifts.  The amount of food, clothing, toys/gifts and money given in support of the project is testimony to the generosity of those in Waushara County who come together to help those in need.

With the appointment of a committee by the City of Wautoma to study the refilling of the Wautoma Pond, the citizens of Wautoma have an opportunity to determine the optimum use of Soules Creek, the White River, the Wautoma Pond, and the surrounding area.

To the Editor,

Last Saturday Dawn and I had the pleasure of attending the Doc Severinsen concert at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.  The event was especially wonderful for those of us that grew up with Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show and the Big Band era.  However the highlight of the evening was watching Wautoma High School Choir members join Oshkosh High School students as the chorus supporting the featured vocal soloist and the symphony orchestra.  In addition to this latest event this group of students, under the direction of Ben Vis, has performed the musical, Phantom of the Opera.

The Waushara Area Chamber of Commerce received many positive comments for the first Magic Moments with Santa with over 200 in attendance.

The Chamber couldn’t have done it without the support and volunteerism from a number of individuals and businesses.
