The Wautoma Senior Community Center is rich with resources. One of these benefits, available to the public, is the enormous 58 x 48 ft. meeting hall. Perfect for wedding receptions, bridal showers, birthday parties, club meetings, and reunions, this wonderful space will host the first ever Community Fair on Oct. 4.

There’s no moss growing anywhere near Cathy Favelle, a Wautoma Senior Community Center member. Favelle has been an avid fitness enthusiast and yoga practitioner for over 33 years.

Being retired is not a pre-requisite to becoming a member of the Wautoma Senior Community Center. More than ever, people over the age of 50 continue to work and plan on it for years to come. Dave Schendel, a new member to the center, not only works but also owns his own business and just purchased another one.

This has been quite an exciting week for Susan DeLain of Neshkoro. She has just won the Grand Champion award in the Cultural Arts category at the Waushara County Fair for her piece titled, “Does Size Matter?”

The large acrylic on hardboard painting shows off a number of different sized carrots in dramatic relief on a black background. The bunch a neighbor had given her from his garden inspired her.
