The Rural Rembrandt Art Club will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at the Wautoma Public Library meeting room. The board meeting takes place at Noon, followed by refreshments at 1 p.m. and the general business meeting at 1:30. All members are welcome to attend the board meeting if they desire.

Gordie and Sheli Ahlf, Winneconne, came to Maple Marsh Wildlife Gallery, located on State Hwy. 22, between Wautoma and Montello, on Nov. 2 to meet Wisconsin wildlife artist Jerry Gadamus and purchase a new print for their Gadamus art collection.

The Patterson Memorial Library in Wild Rose will host the Rural Rembrandt Members Art Show during the month of November. Over 15 artists will be exhibiting their artwork in this annual member’s show.

Rachel Pavlic will be exhibiting 20 pieces of artworks at the Town Square in Green Lake (formerly Green Lake County Court House), many of which have not been shown before. Her work is unique because she uses a broad spectrum of two dimensional art media. The work in the current exhibit is done in watercolor, pen and ink, mixed media collage, pastel, and oil.

The board meeting takes place at 11:30 a.m. followed by refreshments at 1 p.m. and the general business meeting at 1:30 p.m. All members are welcome to attend the board meeting if they desire.

During the months of September and October, local area artist and member of the Rural Rembrandt Art Club Audrey Bunchkowski will have a display of watercolors on the Gallery Wall at the U.S. Bank in Wautoma. Many artists from the club have exhibits at this very visible location for a two-month period throughout the year.

Local area artists Audrey Bunchkowski and Lynn Sallee of Neshkoro will be exhibiting their artwork on the Gallery Wall at the Berlin Library during the month of September. There is a fine collection of both watercolors and photography.

 
Antiques and collectibles appraisal event with Mark Moran Oct. 6 Print E-mail

The Waushara County Historical Society will present an antiques and collectibles appraisal event featuring author and antiques expert Mark F. Moran of Iola on Sunday, Oct. 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Waushara County Historical Society Museum, 221 S Saint Marie Street, Wautoma. There will be an appraisal fee for those having their items appraised. Mark Moran was formerly senior editor of Antiques and Collectibles Books for Krause Publications in Iola. He has also been a contributing editor for Antique Trader magazine. He has served as editor of Antique Review East magazine; producer of Atlantique City, an antique show held in Atlantic City, N.J.; and editorial director of F+W Media’s Antiques Group. He was also a guest appraiser on the Antiques Roadshow 2010 tour.

 
Augustfest Quilt and Art Show held Aug. 10 Print E-mail

The Augustfest Quilt Show at the WWII Building was a huge success thanks to the efforts of co- chairs Donna Ball and Mary Anne Nielsen.  The Pine Tree Needlers  [PTN] Quilt Guild of Mt. Morris have been presenting the quilt show for over nine years.
