Have you wondered how to tie those scarves to look just a little different? Scarf tying by Trina from the Christopher Banks Store will be held Monday, Oct. 7 at 6:30 p.m. Trina will show you different techniques. Bring your own scarf or she will have one for you to use.

The Patterson Memorial Library Board heard about a Stealth programming workshop during a Sept. 23 meeting.

Library Director Kent Barnard reported on attending the workshop on Sept. 17 in Ripon. He felt some of the programs suggested at the workshop were worth trying in Wild Rose.

Jennifer Kutchenriter has many fine portraits, pastels, and drawings on display at the Patterson Memorial Library in Wild Rose this month. Her portraits are outstanding, and they come alive when you look at them. She has started to create a new artist life for herself.

Pat Grahn will talk about her Aunt Ella.  Aunt Ella’s story is quite interesting and comical in being the last fat lady in the Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus sideshow.

The Friends of the Wautoma Library will hold its annual meeting on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 11:30 a.m. It will be held in the library meeting room. This is for all current members with a welcome to new members. A general meeting will be held, with election of officers for the 2013-14 season.

Kant & Kent Super Storytime makes their first appearance at the Wautoma Public Library this Friday at 4 p.m., featuring books, hand puppets, shadow puppets, fingerplay fun, felties, music and just a dash of magic!  Although the show is aimed at children six and under, all ages are welcome to come and enjoy the show!
