On Oct. 12, nearly 200 runners from throughout the Midwest raced to the top of Mt. Morris adjacent to Nordic Mt. Ski Resort in the Sixth Annual Reach the Peak Race, sponsored by the Waushara County Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

Looking for a great autumn race/walk for a great cause? Plan now to participate in the Sixth Annual Reach the Peak 5K or 15K Race/Walk at Nordic Mountain Ski Resort to be held this Saturday, Oct. 12 in picturesque Mt. Morris. Race day registration will be available on site from 8-9:15 a.m., with races beginning at 10:15 a.m.

The Custer, WI-based WI Off Road Series (WORS), now in its 22nd year, has recently established WIN (WORS Interscholastic) Cycling.  WIN Cycling is a not-for-profit organization devoted to establishing middle school- and high school-based mountain bike teams in communities throughout Wisconsin. WIN Cycling is dedicated to the organization and administration of an interscholastic race series to kick off next year with the 2014 school year. A statewide test race event for interscholastic WIN Cycling will take place on Saturday, Sept 28 at Cascade Mountain in Portage.
