Nordic Mountain is more than just a ski hill in Waushara County Print E-mail
Tuesday, February 04, 2014 8:18 AM

Back in 1974 when Bill Creamer, founder of Nordic Mountain, addressed the Mt. Morris Town Board and the Waushara County Board, the path was not an easy one.  He needed a lease of the land from the county and he needed a liquor license before he could proceed with his vision.  The land acquisition, was the easy part where the county board acquired the land  from Mt. Morris for $67,500 for a 400 acre park system for year round recreation and the county would lease 35 acres for the Nordic Mountain Ski Hill project to Creamer.
