Registration for participa-tion in the Awana Program, for children 4K through 8th grade, will take place at the Grace United Methodist Church, on Wednesday, Sept. 24, from 5-7 p.m.  Registration and membership is free. In addition, registrants and their families are invited to watch or help build and eat the biggest ice cream sundae ever constructed in the Wautoma area, which will take place at approximately 6 p.m.

Anyone who stops by with a bag of non-perishable food times will receive a brat as a thank you for his or her donation.

St. John’s Lutheran Church, East Bloomfield, will celebrate 150 years of worship on Sunday, Sept. 14, with the theme, “Growing in Christ – I am the Vine, You are the Branches.”

The sesquicentennial cele-bration will begin during the first service at 10 a.m., with retired Pastor G. Schapekahm officiating. The Fox Valley Lutheran High School Choir will be singing during the morning service.
