Hearing loss presentation given at Patterson Memorial Library Print E-mail

On May 1, Erin O’Leary and Tanya Holm, two graduate students from UW-Stevens Point, gave a presentation on hearing and hearing loss to a group of 20 people. Fellow graduate student Shane Prondzinski assisted with the audiometer set-up and pre-screening of those being tested “The program was informative, insightful and really helped some people allay their fears about losing their hearing, as well as helping us all understand the different types of hearing loss and possible causes,” said Patterson Memorial Library Director Kent Barnard. “After the program we were able to have our hearing spot-checked and were urged to follow up with an audiologist or go to the UW-Stevens Point Audiology Clinic.”
