The Wautoma boys’ baseball team took on the Green Lake on May 27 at home. The Hornets had a tough battle against the Lakers losing by one run even though the team had a total of 9 hits throughout the game.

Tri-County High School held the WIAA Division 3 Track and Field Regional on May 27. The Wild Rose Ladycats took first with 182 points after 18 events, Team Rankings were: Wild Rose, 155; Pacelli, 133; Pittsville, 92; Tri-County, 86; Assumption, 82; St. Mary Central, 43; Port Edwards, 25; and Almond-Bancroft, 17.

The Wautoma girls’ softball team hosted the Nekoosa Lady Papermakers in the first round of the WIAA Division 2 playoffs on May 22. The Lady Hornets would win the game 4-3 advancing to the second round to play the number one seed Adams-Friendship.
