Who says barefoot skiing is difficult? Not Isaac and Parker Schrage.

Parker and Isaac Schrage, ages 13 and 15, are grandsons of Mike and Mary Tighe, Fond du Lac.  Mike and Mary have been cottage owners since 1992 on Lake Irogami.  They recently built a new cottage on the north side of Lake Irogami and truly enjoy the Waushara area.

 
Men's Mashie Marathon makes Junior Golf donation Print E-mail

Each year, a group of men come together for golf and companionship in Waushara, Marquette and Green Lake Counties. They come from Wisconsin, Illinois and as far away as Arizona, California and Hawaii to participate in the “Men’s Mashie Marathon,” a week of playing some of the finest courses in the tri-county area.

The planning committee for the Reach the Peak Race will be holding an organizational meeting on Thursday, June 27 at 4:30 p.m. at the office of Thrivent Financial, 222 W. Main St., Wautoma.

This will be the 6th Annual Reach the Peak fundraiser to be held at Nordic Mountain Ski Hill in Mt. Morris on Saturday, Oct. 12.

For the seventh straight year, a group of former Berlin American Legion Baseball players have circled a weekend in May on their calendars. They get together at the Red Fox in Wild Rose to play in the annual Slugger’s Spring Fling Modified Softball Tournament. What started as an “excuse’ to get together to play cards and reminisce, all while playing a little ball, has now turned into a small fundraiser for the current Berlin American Legion baseball team.

 
Coloma Lions Chicken Chew to host pickleball and tennis tournaments Print E-mail

The 2013 Coloma Lions Chicken Chew is scheduled for Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30. A pickleball and tennis tournament will be included in the weekend activities. Both tournaments will be held in the Coloma Community Park and are targeted for anyone who is interested in playing either sport – male, female, young, old, experienced, or beginner.
