Friends of the Central Sands (FOCS) has released two short video advertisements demonstrating why the fight over Wisconsin’s water is so important. These 15-second videos clearly show the threat to the water resources.  Titled “No More Fishing” and “No More Picnics”, the commercials demonstrate the threat of groundwater pumping to recreation and other uses of Wisconsin’s waters. The videos can be seen by visiting, www.FriendsofCS.org, or are available to download at www.Vimeo.com/FriendsofCS.

At the Waushara County Board meeting on Aug. 19 held at the Waushara County Courthouse, the board of supervisors voted unanimously not to approve the proposed dining room addition onto the existing county kitchen.
