The Tomah Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center will be hosting a Veterans Benefits Fair on Aug. 17 from Noon until 7 p.m.

Veterans and the public are invited to visit Building 407, Room 1724 (conference room) to learn about the numerous benefits available to Veterans through the VA, and state and county organizations and programs. Staff will also be available to enroll eligible Veterans for care.

The Pleasant Lake Man-agement District (PLMD) will hold its Annual Meeting on Aug. 30 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Anna Follett Community Center, Coloma.

The business meeting will include: nominations and balloting to elect two members of the board of directors for three-year terms expiring in 2017; an update on the PLMD legal challenge of the DNR’s approval of two high capacity wells for the proposed Richfield Dairy; and presentation and ballot to approve the 2014 Budget.
