|Annual reports heard at county board meeting|

Following the Pledge of Allegiance, the Waushara County Board of Supervisors heard the annual report from Register of Deeds Heather Schwersenska. She gave background information on herself and what her office does. Some of their responsibilities include recording and indexing documents pertaining to land transactions and vital statistics (such as birth, death and marriage certificates), and providing the public with certified copies of these records. They also assist in maintaining the tax roll and printing property tax statements. The office is close to meeting the goal of making land records available online. Debit and credit card payments will soon be accepted, and e-recording has been set up with two vendors.
