He was born Sept. 18, 1940 in Milwaukee, the son of Richard John and Dorothy Marie (Neubauer) Popp.
Richard served his country in the U.S. Army from 1957 until 1960. He moved to Coloma from Muskego in 1984. An avid outdoorsman, Richard loved fishing and hunting. He will be fondly remembered for his daily visits to the tavern in Coloma where enjoyed socializing with his many friends.
He is survived by his children: Richard John Popp, Johnson Creek; Richard Harry (Melissa) Popp Jr., Coloma; Adam (Jamie) Popp, Coloma; Lisa Popp; grandchildren: Brandon Lee Popp, Derek Boy, Cody Osborne, Ashley Hamilton, Amanda Hamilton, Alyssa Hamilton, and Tanner Popp; and one brother: John (Pat) Popp, Milwaukee. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Per Richard’s wishes, there will be no services held.
