|Tuesday, August 12, 2014 4:09 AM|
The Plainfield “Spree” sponsored by the Plainfield Business Association will be different this year. There will be a flea market and small animal swap, which will take place in Veterans Park on Sept. 13.
The flea market will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the small animal swap will start at 8 a.m. and last until all the animals are gone. The only restrictions are that there be no hoofed animals or dogs.
A donut-eating contest will begin at 11:30 a.m., with Bingo starting at Noon. The association asks participants in Bingo to bring their own dabbers.
There will be food and beverages available to the public and vendors throughout the day. The cash drawing for the top prize of $500 will be held at 2 p.m. Raffle tickets are available at area businesses and at the “Spree”.
