William E. Deuel, 85, Wautoma, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at his home.
Bill was employed as an assembler at Speed Queen in Wautoma and later Ripon for 43 years until his retirement. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wautoma and he was a longtime member of the Wautoma Volunteer Fire Department. Bill loved being with his family, camping, tinkering around the house, fishing, gardening, and woodworking.
He is survived by two sons: Douglas (friend Edna Lafler) Deuel, Wautoma; and Jeffrey (Julie) Deuel, Green Lake; six grandchildren: Derek (Tara) Clark, Green Lake; Crystal (Jason) Zellner, Fond du Lac; Justin Deuel, Green Lake; Dana Deuel, Redgranite; Chelsey (fiancé Nick Putskey) Clark, Wautoma; and Alex Flick, Green Lake; four great grandchildren: William, Zach-ary, Jaedalynn, and Zaeron; and one sister: Lucinda (Larry) Laabs, Oshkosh. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his son: Duane Deuel; his daughter: Pamela Clark; and four brothers: Frank Deuel, Lloyd “John” Deuel, Roland Deuel, and Allan Deuel.
Funeral services were held on July 21 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wautoma with Rev. Brian D. Rohde officiating. Burial took place in Wautoma Union Cemetery.
Visitation was held on July 20 at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma and on Monday at the church until the time of services. www.wautomafuneralhome.com.
