Iona J. Jorsch, 92, Wautoma, (formally of Sheboygan) died on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Silver Lake Manor in Wautoma. She was born in Lark on Oct. 16, 1921, the daughter of the late John and Ester Otto Fieck.

On March 21, 1940 she was united in marriage to Christian Jorsch in Sheboygan.  He preceded her in death in 1978. She was employed at Mapledale School as a noon supervisor and a teacher’s aide. Iona was also involved in the Saturday Fun and Frolic and the Boy Scouts for over 10 years. She enjoyed dancing and the outdoors. Iona was an avid Minnesota Vikings and New York Yankees fan as well.

Survivors include: her daughter: Sandy Dickmann, Wild Rose (formally of Sheboygan); daughter-in-law: Dolly Jorsch, Texas; and grandchildren: Scott (Kathy), Jeff (Kari), Barb, Brad, Wendy, Jon, and Chris. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Iona was preceded in death by her husband; parents; stepfather: Ed Shusta; a son: Larry; son-in-law: Bob Dickmann; sister: Erma (Carl) Krizek; and her two brothers: Robert “Bud” (Wilma) Fieck and Ray (Elenor) Fieck.

A funeral service for Iona will be held on Thursday, July 10 at 2 p.m. at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan, with Rev. Gregory Whelton officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Online condolences may be expressed at
