Nov. 21, 1922-April 17, 2014

Evelyn Harke, 91, Wautoma, formerly of Neshkoro, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Silver Lake Manor in Wautoma. She was born in Berlin, on Nov. 21, 1922, a daughter of Irwin Dahlke and Ella (Henke) Otto.

On Nov. 11, 1967, at Zion Lutheran Church in Neshkoro, Evelyn married Clarence Harke. She worked at Reetz Meats and Grocery for a number of years as well as working with her husband Clarence on the family farm in Neshkoro. Evelyn was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Neshkoro and the Neshkoro Senior Center.  She enjoyed visiting with others in various care facilities.

Evelyn is survived by her four brothers: Marvin (Shirley) Otto, Walter (Claris) Otto, Lester Otto, Arlon (Glenda) Otto, all of Princeton; two sisters: Laverne (Gary) Dean, Lorraine Otto, both of Waupun; cousin: Dolly Bednarek, Wautoma; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence in 2000; three brothers-in-law: Art (Hilda) Harke, Bernard (Grace) Harke and Ernest Harke; and two sisters-in-law: Adeline (Laurence) Armga and Patricia Otto.

A visitation and funeral service for Evelyn Harke was held on April 21 at Zion Lutheran Church, Neshkoro. Pastor Franklin Giebel officiated. Burial followed the service in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Neshkoro.
