Loretta A. Willems, 97, Wautoma, passed away Monday morning, March 17, 2014 at Silver Lake Manor.

She was born Jan. 24, 1917 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Emil and Louise (Schafner) Haug. She married Robert H. Willems on Sept. 11, 1929 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Chicago. He preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 1983.

She and her late husband resided in Franklin Park, IL for many years. Loretta had resided in Wautoma since 1993. She loved quilting and crafting. Loretta was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma, and a lifetime member of Franklin Park American Legion Auxiliary Unit 974.

She is survived by her daughter: Roselyn Basso, Wautoma; three grandchildren: John (Lory) Basso, Crivitz; Debra (Greg) Evans, Coloma; Julie (Rick) Withall, Wautoma; 12 great grandchildren: Angelo (Cait-

lin) Basso, Anthony Basso, Dominic Basso, Giovanni Basso; Shannon Evans (Thomas), Jimmy (Nicole) Evans, Randy Evans (Melissa), Jesse Evans; Ricky (Kali) Withall, Russell Withall, Robert Withall, and Reece Withall; and six great-great grandchildren: Amara, Kayli, Brayden, Weston, Korban, and Ryker. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one sister: Lucille Stark; and by her son-in-law: Billy Basso.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 19 at 6 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma with Rev. Emmanuel Bioloncek officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, River Grove, IL.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church from 5 p.m. until the time of services at the church.
