Asuncion "Chris" C. Juarez Print E-mail

Asuncion “Chris” C. Juarez, Hartford, formerly of Wild Rose, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014 at Froedtert Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Chris was 87 years old and lived a long, happy life. He served in the United States Army, after which he worked in a foundry for many years. He then was the Manager of the B.P.O.E. Elks Club in Watertown for several years. He then worked his way up to a district manager for a firm in Fond du Lac. He kept very active after retirement and while living in Wild Rose. He worked part time at Copps and also LaClinica in Wautoma. He was also an interpreter for the Waushara County Sheriff Department at times. Chris then settled into one of his favorite jobs as a rural newspaper carrier for the Oshkosh Northwestern, delivering as many as 150 papers every morning for 10 years. He had many friends in Wild Rose.

In 2013, he moved back to Hartford to be closer to family. Chris most loved spending time with his children and many grandchildren who all adored him. He loved music, dancing, enjoyed all sports and his beloved Packers. He loved the outdoors and seeing the deer every morning while on his paper route. He also loved sitting on his porch in the spring to watch the new leaves grow on the trees. He thought it was God’s amazing gift.

Chris is survived by his beloved children: Cheryl (Ron) Fritche, Hartford; Richard (Kerry) Juarez, Germantown; Rafael (Sonya) Juarez, Louisville, KY; and Gina Hamm, Elizabeth, IN; 12 cherished grandchildren and eight precious great grandchildren. He is further survived by five children from a previous marriage, other dear relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurilia and Asuncion Juarez.

Memorial funeral services for Chris were held on Saturday, March 1 at 4 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union St., Hartford, with Pastor Doug Livingston officiating. Visitation was at the funeral home on Saturday from 2-4 p.m.
