Raymond "Ray" Guetzke Print E-mail

Raymond “Ray” Guetzke, 73, Hancock, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014.

He was born on Oct. 3, 1940 in Germantown to Gilbert F. and Anna M. (Bernhardt) Guetzke. On July 15, 1967 Ray married Judith Ann Deppiesse at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.

Ray was the owner of Ray’s Close-Outs in Hancock and Adams/Friendship. He was a member of the Hancock Lion’s Club. Ray was an avid outdoorsman and loved deer hunting.

He is survived by his wife: Judy Guetzke; children: Nancy (Ed Wells) Guetzke, Friendship; Matthew (Rose Anderson) Guetzke, Plainfield; three grandchildren: Kyle and Tyler Burich and Katelin Guetzke; brother: Ardell Guetzke, Cedarburg; other relatives and many friends.

Visitation and memorial services were held on Feb. 8 at Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield with Rev. Eric L. Hambrock officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family expresses memorials in Ray’s name to the Hancock Lion’s Club or Salvation Army.
