He was born on Dec. 3, 1948 in Wisconsin Rapids to Carl and Dorothy (Callahan) Adams.
Larry graduated from Tri-County High School in 1967 and served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Coral Sea from 1968 to 1974. His favorite hobbies included deer hunting, playing softball, working on his family farm, and listening to his favorite oldies music. Larry never missed an opportunity to play a good game of Smear or a round of miniature golf. He treasured the time he spent with his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Larry is survived by his wife of 29 years: Mary Adams, Bancroft; children: Amber (Kevin) Progar, St. Paul, MN; and Patrick Adams, Wisconsin Rapids; grandchildren: Kaydence Adams, Mosinee; and Nevaeh Ross, Stevens Point; mother: Dorothy Adams, Plover; sister: Nancy (Gerald) Fletcher, Bancroft; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and father, Carl Adams.
Funeral services were held at Noon on Saturday, Dec. 21 at Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. The family greeted relatives and friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Noon. Following the service, military honors were accorded by V.F.W. Post 6007 and the United States Navy Honors Team.
