|Local ladies caught in South Dakota snowstorm|

When Polly Hartford, her sister-in-law, Eileen Christensen, Wautoma, and another sister-in-law, Joanne Dunn, Pardeeville, signed up for the last seats available on a Diamond Tours bus trip to South Dakota, little did they know that they would find themselves in the middle of a record-breaking snowstorm that would paralyze the South Dakota interstate system and businesses, as well as devastate herds of cattle. Their seven-day bus trip turned into a nine-day bus trip that none of the ladies would soon forget.
