Allen A. Barrington, 72, rural Almond, passed away Friday evening, Nov. 1, 2013 at Wild Rose Manor.

He was born July 24, 1941 in Waupaca, the son of Carol and Mabel (Nicolison) Barrington.  He married Lorraine Evans on May 23, 1964 in Plainfield.

Allen was employed at Shelmet Precision Casting in Wild Rose for 42 years until his retirement in 2006.  He served his country in the United States Army.  He was an avid sports fan and outdoor enthusiast who enjoying hunting, fishing, trapshooting watching sporting events and most of all, spending time with grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife: Lorraine Barrington, Almond; two sons: Michael (Chris) Barrington, Stevens Point; Dean (Jeanne) Barrington, Stevens Point; three grandchildren: Michael, Rachael and Alicia Barrington; one sister: Marion Evans, Wisconsin Rapids; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Eugene.

To honor Allen’s wishes, private services will be held.

The Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield, assisted the family with arrangements.
