Isabell E. Kemnetz, 94, Hancock, passed away Wednesday morning, Oct. 16, 2013, at Silver Lake Manor in Wautoma.

She was born Feb. 13, 1919, east of Harrisville, the daughter of Edward and Tillie (Duesterhoeft) Briese. She married Vilas E. Kemnetz on Sept. 6, 1936. He preceded her in death November of 1975.

Mrs. Kemnetz farmed with her husband in the town of Hancock for many years. She enjoyed the outdoors especially working in her flowers and gardening.

Isabell is survived by her children: Carol (David) Fowler, Hancock; Janet (Paul) Galetka, FL; Delmer (Nancy) Kemnetz, Hancock; Keith (Diane) Kemnetz, Hancock; 18 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; and 16 great-great grandchildren; two brothers: Gordon (Sue) Briese, Pleasant Prairie; Herbert Briese, Westfield; sister-in-law: Elda Briese; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one brother: Darwin; and two sisters: Irene Briese and Eldena Wruck.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 11 a.m. in the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield, with the Rev. Eric L. Hambrock officiating. Burial was in the Hancock Cemetery. Visitation was held from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the funeral home.
