The Wautoma Hornets took on the visiting Wisconsin Dells Chiefs in May 3 baseball action at Wautoma High School. The Hornets were able to outscore their conference opponents for a 7-4 win.
Landon Keller pitched for 6 innings, only allowing 1 earned run and making 5 strikeouts. Logan Dunn made 2 runs, along with 2 SB’s and an RBI. Landon Kalata also made 2 runs, with 2 RBI’s and 1 SB. Ben Miller made a run and a BB. Miller also went on to pitch one inning and making 1 save. Kyler Reinke had 2 RBI’s and an SB, followed by Brady Abitz with a run and SB. Peyton Pica had 1 RBI and Mason Dobrecebich had a run and an SB.
The Hornets are now 9-6 overall this season, with a 3-5 record in the South Central Conference.
