Waushara County HCE presents fleece blankets for those in need

Sally Roberts of the Waushara County Home, Community and Education (HCE) recently presented Brie Chappa of the Redgranite Police Department and Fire Rescue with 13 fleece blankets. The blankets will be used to give to people when they are having one of the worst days of their lives, to wrap them in love and let them know somebody cares. The fabric was purchased with a grant from Thrivent Financial. The blankets were made at a recent sewing day by the ladies of HCE. HCE is a nonprofit organization that does good things for the community, such as bookworms for Headstart and preschool, scholarships for high school graduates, making meals for the Tree House and opening educational events to the public.
