Wild Rose School Board approves resignations and appointments

The Wild Rose School Board addressed personnel resignations and appointments when it met July 14. The resignations of Zachary Shulfer as the MS/HS general and vocal music teacher, and Jessica Monteferrante as the food service director were accepted.

Appointments included Janelle Richard as the MS/HSS at-risk and alternative education, as well as the middle school Dean of Students. Steve Yeska will be the new athletic director.

After a discussion the board approved the transfer of $50,000 to Capitol Investment Fund 46.

A look at the tentative 2022-2023 budget brought some positive news for the board in that the upcoming school year could start with a balanced budget.

In considering student fees for the 2022-23 school year, some fees will be changed while others will remain the same.

District Administrator Craig Hayes informed the board of new grant program where electric school buses can be acquired. He will keep abreast of the program for more information.

Upcoming meetings start with the 7 p.m. annual meeting in the auditorium on Monday, Aug. 8, with a board meeting to immediately follow. On Thursday, Aug. 25 will be the date of the August board meeting at 7 p.m. in the district board room.
