County Administrator reports on training, safety lunch and ground breaking for the Wautoma EMS

Melissa Pingel, County Administrator, reported to the Waushara County Board of Supervisors at the Waushara County Courthouse, Wau-toma, on April 18th on the training for department heads that was conducted by Dan Foth. She also announced a safety lunch would be held at the new Highway Shop, and on May 1st there will be a groundbreaking ceremony at the new EMS site located on N2400 Townline Rd., Wautoma. On May 11th there will be a safety lunch at the Government Center including a mock-up of the courtroom. Earlier in the day the entire board attended a training presentation by Dan Foth on: The Role of County Government, Open Meetings Overview, and the UW Extension Resources. Ruth Zouski, Corporate Counsel, requested a $600 rental assistance voucher for a person to be paid out of the Opiod Settlement Proceeds. The request was granted along with a motion that gives Zouski authority if requests come to her office that she determines need assistance she can grant without coming back for board approval with each request. In other business the board approved the update on the personnel policy including the payout of comp time, funeral leave, and ETO (Extended Time Off). The board approved Jan Novak and Mike Davis, both of Wautoma, to the Transportation Coordinating Committee through May 31, 2026. They also approved George Peterman, Wautoma, Dave Williams, Wild Rose, and John Benz to the Board of Adjustments through April 2026. The next meeting of the Waushara County Board of Supervisors will be held on Tuesday, May 16 in the County Board Room at the Waushara County Courthouse, Wautoma.
