Wild Rose alumnus top Wisconsin finisher in Boston

Former Wild Rose resident and 2002 Wild Rose High School graduate Ben
Kirmse was the top finisher for the state of Wisconsin in the Boston
Marathon, which was held April 21. Kirmse finished 262nd overall with a
time of 2 hours, 44 minutes, and 26 seconds.
This was only the third marathon that Kirmse has ever participated
in, and the first time that he has attempted running the Boston
Marathon. “I was surprised I did so well being that it was my first time
running it.” said Kirmse.
