Accidents reported in Waushara County

6/14/2022: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 4:28 p.m. in a parking lot in the Town of Dakota. Jeanene Reinert, 62, Wild Rose, had backed up and was leaving. Eric Momsen, 60, Wautoma, was parked and then backed up to leave. The rear of Momsen’s made contact with the left front corner of Reinert. Momsen stated he couldn’t see Reinert with the other parked cars.

6/15/2022: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 5:55 p.m. on CTHAE northbound in the Town of Saxeville. Joseph Slotevig, 39, Cadott, was traveling northbound with his hazards on. Slotevig abruptly braked and pulled into the driveway of an address due to a small bunch of leaves in the roadway. Logan Farrell, 23, which was following too closely then swerved the same directions side swiping the back passenger side of Slotevig. Farrell sustained damage to the front driver side quarter panel.

6/21/2022: A one-vehicle accident occurred on STH73 southbound in the Town of Marion. Jacob Rau, 39, Neshkoro, struck a downed tree that blocked the entirety of the road. The vehicle ran over the tree and caught air and then landed on an angle front end first. Defendant then left the scene and was not located until the next day.

6/22/2022: A one-vehicle accident occurred in a parking lot in the Village of Wild Rose. Lori Szczublewski, 57, Pine River, was exiting Farmers State Bank. She was backing and mistook the accelerator for the brake, causing the vehicle to back up unsafely and struck a fixed light pole in the parking lot. The pole broke away and fell onto the ground.

6/26/2022: At 8:55 p.m., Jimmie Davis, 40, Medford, on IH39, Northbound, Town of Hancock.
