Accidents reported in Waushara County

3/3/2022: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 8:57 p.m. on Cottonville Dr. in the Town of Dakota. Both drivers stated that a deer ran out in front of Arianna Cereceres Hernandez, 22, Wautoma. Terrance Duket, 51, Berlin, stated that Hernandez did not have working taillights or brake lights and did not see she was stopping until it was to late. Duket stated he was following Hernandez to her grandmother’s residence. Duket stated he knew where she was and admitted he was following to closely. Hernandez claimed to not know if the lights were working and stated she did not know if the vehicle had insurance.

3/7/2022: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 6:31 a.m. on W. Bannerman Ave/STH21 eastbound in the Village of Redgranite. Kathlene Kiska, 60, Wautoma, slid across the centerline in to the westbound lane while Thomas Cismoski, 69, Redgranite, was westbound. Cismoski made contact with the driver’s side of Kiska’s vehicle. Kiska came to rest in the middle of the road facing east while Cismoski came to rest on the westbound shoulder.

3/7/2022: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 7:42 a.m. on an intersection in the Town of Rose. Jennifer Devitt, 39, Wautoma, slid through stop sign due to snow on the roadway and continued to drive in the intersection to avoid being hit from south bound traffic. Mark Lynch, 57, Neshkoro, was traveling north when he tried to avoid Devitt and struck the rear of his vehicle with the right side plow wing.

3/7/2022: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 8:11 a.m. on Main St./STH22 northbound in the Village of Wild Rose. Hailey Wilson, 21, Wautoma, was traveling too fast for conditions and slid into the curved turn and struck Roger Williams, 76, Wild Rose.

3/7/2022: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 8:34 a.m. on CTHC westbound in the Town of Wautoma. Alissa Spillner, 21, Hancock, moved to the right in her lane to avoid dump truck on centerline. The vehicle went onto the gravel shoulder, over corrected across centerline and into traffic. Spillner went back into the westbound lane and came to rest facing northbound in the north ditch of CTH C.

3/7/2022: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 9:52 a.m. on CTHV southbound in the Town of Hancock. Nicholas Adamczak, 29, Onalaska, hit ice and his vehicle traveled into the right ditch and slid into trees causing functional damage to the front of the vehicle.

 

3/11/2022: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 1:57 p.m. on STH22 southbound. Bicyclist Santo Ortiz Samura, 31, Wild Rose. Was traveling along the right shoulder on his bike. Cameron Berrig, 27, Waupaca, veered toward the shoulder and side swiped the bicyclist. Berrig admitted to looking at his phone when the accident occurred.
