Accidents reported in Waushara County

Subhead

2/72022: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 5:35 a.m. in a parking lot in the Town of Plainfield. Timothy Mc Leod, 57, Green Bay, backed out of a parking stall and made contact with the right front corner of legally parked Unit 2.

 

2/7/2022: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 6:31 p.m. on STH49 northbound in the Town of Bloomfield. Caitlin Simonsmeier, 27, Appleton, failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway properly. The vehicle went off the roadway, right shoulder, to allegedly avoid a deer in the roadway and a patch of ice on the roadway. Simonsmeier attempted to over correct back onto the roadway and again went off the roadway onto the right shoulder. She entered the ditch and hit a culvert to a residence driveway. Vehicle launched over the culvert/driveway and began to overturn/rollover. The vehicle came to a stop in the upright position. All airbags deployed, no injuries.

2/11/2022: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 12:30 a.m. on Chicago Rd. in the Town of Dakota. Victoria Tokarz, 22, Wautoma, failed to properly negotiate a curve, crossed the center line and entered to opposite ditch where it struck multiple trees.

2/12/2022: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 3:58 p.m. on Alp Ave. in the Town of Plainfield. Faythe Nowitzke, 56, Wautoma, was stopped at the stop sign and Jesse Rompasky, 54, Plainfield, was traveling southbound. Rompasky was making right turn onto Alp Ave. and slid on the icy roadway, making contact with Nowitzke’s driver’s side.

2/5/2022: At 5:45 p.m., Anthony Anderson, 45, Redgranite, on STH21, Eastbound, Town of Marion.

2/10/2022: At 1:48 a.m., Justin Wittenburg, 34, Wild Rose, on CTHH, Northbound, Town of Springwater.
