1/5/2022: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 6:49 p.m. on CTHP eastbound in the Town of Rose. Jarlin Moreno Perz, 28, Waupaca, failed to stop at the stop sign and then collided with John Testin, 56, Wild Rose. Perz stated he tried to stop but could not. Testin stated it appeared Perz tried to get through the intersection quickly and couldn’t get through it fast enough.
1/26/2022: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 10:13 p.m. on CTHWW southbound in the Town of Mount Morris. Ernesto Gabriel Castillo, 34, Wild Rose, attempted to negotiate curve to the right, loses control, exits roadway to the left and comes to rest in the east ditch.
1/27/2022: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 9:40 p.m. on STH73 southbound in the Town of Wautoma. David Revino, 19, Almond, began negotiating a curve in the road. He stated while negotiating the curve he hit a patch of ice and the vehicle began to slide, so he attempted to correct the vehicle but over corrected, going into the ditch and striking a tree as a result.
1/28/2022: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 7:40 p.m. on N. Limits Rd/CTHA westbound in the Town of Springwater. Jeremy Berglund, 42, Two Rivers, stopped at the stop sign and continued out to make a left hand turn, striking Maria Teodora Vallejo Saldana, 43, Chico, CA, in the intersection.
1/29/2022: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 12 a.m. on CTHEE northbound in the Town of Warren. Upon arrival there was no one with the vehicle. Deputy observed the vehicle’s tracks and it appeared the vehicle veered for quite a distance before going off the roadway. The vehicle sustained extensive disabling damage from hitting trees. Charles Fitzgerald, 27, Redgranite, was verified via phone call the following day. He stated he was the lone occupant and verified information in regards to the crash.
1/31/2022: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 7:20 a.m. on Forest Dr. in the Town of Hancock. Bill Grove, 62, Bancroft, was picking up students on his normal bus route. He attempted to stop on the roadway, however the road surface, hard packed snow/ice, did not allow him to stop on the roadway. Grove traveled through the stop sign into the ditch, and struck a tree coming to rest. Eleven passengers on the bus, all of which were uninjured. Manifest of bus passengers in I-Crimefighter. 204’4” from first tire mark in the roadway indication that the bus was attempting to stop to the left rear tire final resting point. CMV post-crash inspection by inspector Tye However of the Wisconsin state Patrol, indicated that the right rear brake was not hooked up and not working properly.
2/6/2022: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 4:34 a.m. on CTHA westbound in the Town of Wautoma. Garrett Sparkman, 21, Wautoma, crossed over the centerline, entered the south ditch, and struck utility pole where it came to rest. Sparkman reported brakes were not working properly.
2/6/2022: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 6:21 p.m. on STH73 northbound in the Town of Wautoma. Allan Sering, 63, Wisconsin Rapids, lost control due to ice and exited roadway to the left into the ditch. The front end bottomed out on ditch.
2/6/2022: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 7:05 p.m. on IH39 southbound in the Town of Hancock. Alison Glen, 24, Sun Prairie, was traveling in the fast lane, lost control and struck east guard rail. The vehicle then crossed both lanes and struck the west guardrail before coming to rest.
2/6/2022: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 7:19 p.m. on STH73 northbound in the Town of Wautoma. Miria Kehoe, 36, Plainfield, stated she was clearing the right hand curve when her vehicle began to fishtail which resulted in her losing control. She entered the ditch where the vehicle rolled approximately two times and eventually came to rest upright on its’ wheels.
2/6/2022: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 8:35 p.m. on CTHV southbound in the Town of Coloma. Clay Wegner, 28, lost control and crossed centerline. The vehicle entered northbound ditch, where it spun and struck a tree.
